Artist, producer, mix engineer, and audio engineer, ROMÆO’s music is as diverse and ambitious as her skillset. Like all great art-pop auteurs, ROMÆO links her brand of pop with a larger concept – with every off kilter hook comes a deeper meaning. Idiosyncratic lyrics and experimental production have launched ROMÆO to the forefront of the Australian art-pop scene. Her self produced and mixed EPs (BEAUTY, 2022 and SONGS ABOUT ME, 2023) have amassed support from the likes of Pilerats, Junkee, Triple J and Rage, as well as a host of community radio stations across the country (FBi, SYN, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, and more). Her music video How To Be Honest was a finalist in the Clipped Music Video Festival 2024. Having supported the likes of June Jones and Huck Hastings, ROMÆO’s live shows border on performance art, often involving drag, dance, and theatrics. Working behind the scenes, ROMÆO has collaborated with a suite of artists including Sandy Hsu, Adam Noviello, Dirty Versachi, Will Edgar, and more.

This confronting look at social stalking is brought forth in a stark light. Layered clapping beats form a cocktail of teenage obsession and modern dance. romæo experiments with time signature and structure, making ‘stare’ a thrilling listen that’s as unpredictable and polarising as she is.
