Hailing from the Northern Rivers, DJ Henning (he/him) first moved to Naarm/Melbourne in 2017. Before moving DJ Henning had a radio show on the local station Bay FM 99.9, which also broadcast out of SYN FM in Naarm. Since arriving here he has slowly immersed himself in the music community and has become a well-known face around town.

He started his DJ career, as many do, by splitting the costs of a mixer and some decks between a group of friends and practicing diligently in the bedroom. DJ Henning is prompted by an unwavering love of discovering music, and sharing the uncovered gems with his friends.

DJ Henning has an incredibly eclectic taste, he feels just as at home playing a Sunday session in a beer garden as he is tearing along 160 bpm at a 3 o’clock in the morning rave. Notably, he is one half of the beloved Middle Eastern party Aywa where he and Marroushti work studiously staging SWANNA talent both from Naarm and interstate.
